Happisburgh & Mundesley Coastguard Rescue Station has been involved in saving lives along the coast for over 100 years. The dedication of the highly trained team whom risk there lives to save others is second to none.
We provide an all year round service for emergency situations on the coast and the broads within their areas of operations. The Happisburgh team is made up of 10 Highly Trained Coastguard Rescue Officers and the Mundesley team is made up of 5 Highly Trained Coastguard Rescue Officers, whom are on standby 24 hours a day living normal lives until their pagers call them into action. They are all located within a close distance to the Station and are on scene within minutes, ready to deploy all equipment necessary for the Emergency Situation.
Throughout each year The Happisburgh & Mundesley Coastguard Teams are called out to a number of emergency situations, which are documented in our call out section, illustrating the array of avoidable and not so avoidable call outs we deal with.
The two teams have been working as one team as from 1st January 2012.
